My husband had a vacectomy reversal last July. I'm still not pregnant but his tests came back ok. I'm currently going through tests to see that I am ok. If they come back ok we will be referred to a clinic. We thought we might try IUI first but now we are thinking of going for IVF. Should we do IUI first and then if that doesnt work, do IVF or should we go straight for IVF. Time is of the essence. Any experiences would help us.

You could do 3 IUIs in just 4 months, so it wouldn't take too much time to try. For many women, it is all they need. There is no way to know in advance what will work. I know that many women that just wished they had skipped the IUIs and gone straight to IVF, but many other women get lucky on the first IUI attempt. My suggestion would be to try 2 IUIs, then move on to IVF right away if the IUIs don't work. This way you would be giving the low tech way a chance to work, but only wasting a few months if it doesn't. Maybe the tests will give you a little better idea what path is best for you. I am guessing it may be a mix of male and female factors, and that IVF will do the trick fo you.
