Hello everyone,
I am really hoping that someone can give me some hope..My husband had a VR on 3/01/07..my husband and i also have a child together already..original vasectomy done on 2/2005..we had alot of hope until the first SA was done last month..it showed only 2.6 mil sperm with 40% motility and 40% morphology. Can anyone give some advice on this..should this be a concern or do you think it is a little early to be getting frustrated..is it possible to conceive even with these low numbers..Also, has anyone had luck with fertility blend for men..he has been taking it for 2 weeks now..Thank you in advance for your helpful information..

Welcome to the site libmom. It's certainly possible for you to get pregnant with those semen analysis numbers. I have seen stories of couples getting pregnant with a sperm count of less than a million. The chances for the vasectomy reversal to be successful are high since the time between the vasectomy and vasectomy reversal was only two years. Fertility blend works for some people. It does take a while to get in your system so you may need to give it some time. Make sure your husband's doctor knows that he is taking Fertility Blend. It is important for both of you to eat healthy foods and get regular excercise.

Try to relax and not get frustrated. This will help you to conceive. Which doctor performed the procedure? You should let the vasectomy reversal doctor know the semen analysis results and see if he recommends another test in a few months. ::Baby Dust::

THANK YOU VERY MUCH JENNY. IT IS NICE TO HEAR THAT THERE IS A POSITIVE SIDE TO ALL THIS..WE WAITED FOR AWHILE BEFORE GOING THROUGH WITH THE REVERSAL BECAUSE IT WAS NOT GUARANTEED..WE JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE WE GET WHAT WE PAID FOR..YES WE HAVE DISCUSSED THE RESULTS WITH THE DR. AND HE DID SUGGEST A RETEST IN A COUPLE OF MONTHS...HE WAS ALSO WONDERING THE VALIDITY OF THE TEST, SINCE IT WAS DONE AT KAISER INSTEAD OF THE FERTILITY CENTER..IT ALSO SAT FOR 1 1/2 HOURS BEFORE IT WAS READ..THE DR. THAT PERFORMED THE SURGERY IS A LOCAL DR NAMED DR. JOHN GOULD AND HE SPECIALIZES IN VR'S, DOING ABOUT 3-5 PER WEEK..

Having the semen sit for a long period of time before testing is not good. Be sure to share the results of the next semen analysis. I am interested in seeing the results.

It is great that you picked a doctor that specializes in vasectomy reversals. How was your experience with Dr. Gould?

I will definately share the results..dr. gould was good..although my husband got a hemotoma on one side, but i dont think that has anything to do with the dr. we were very pleased with him though..
